Pupils at Crosshall Junior School, in St Neots, have embraced the new year by spreading joy in care homes across Huntingdonshire.

Pupils in Year 3 have been learning about 'shape poems' in their English lessons, as well as onomatopoeia, similes and calligrams.

The Crosshall pupils also watched the London Fireworks display from New Years Eve 2023 to take inspiration for their own 'shape poem'.

The children got to work on creating their own firework shaped poems and decided to spread joy within the St Neots community.

The Year Three pupils had their firework poems published in six care homes across Huntingdonshire.

The St Neots school promotes three key values - ambition, resilience, and kindness.

The young students decided to spread kindness through the community by reaching out to care homes.

The Crosshall Junior School Academy Trust is based in Eaton Ford, St Neots, and is a large junior school for children aged 7 - 11 years old.
