A ribbon-cutting ceremony has taken place at the Maple Centre in Huntingdon which has reopened to the public after a refurbishment.

The event took place on September 25 and saw Huntingdonshire District Council leader, Cllr Sarah Conboy and Hunts Forum CEO Julie Farrow in attendance to cut the ribbon.

Representatives from various organisations gathered to celebrate the centre's refurbished facilities and enjoy a bake sale. 

"We are thrilled with today's success and the presence of Sarah Conboy and Julie Farrow reflects the strong support we have from our community and partners," said Costanza Drago from the cetre.

"The Maple Centre is here to help our community connect, learn, and thrive together.

"The relaunch reaffirms The Maple Centre's commitment to serving the community of Huntingdon. It remains a welcoming space for residents to come together, learn and grow."

The Maple Centre offers a warm space for residents and provides various programmes and services and is home to the Hunts Forum of voluntary organisations. It is based at 6 Oak Drive, in Huntingdon.
