Harvest concert featuring The Bedford Gallery Quire in Kimbolton on Saturday

The Bedford Gallery Quire will be presenting a harvest concert at St Andrew’s Church, in Kimbolton, on October 14.

The Quire performs music of the West Gallery period (from the early 18th century to around the middle of the 19th century). In this period bands of singers and instrumentalists would provide the music for social occasions as well as church services in rural communities. With the same joy as their forebears, the singers and players will perform music recreated from original manuscripts, in costume and using mainly authentic instruments, and will set the music in context with a narrative from local archive material.

The concert starts at 7.30pm on October 14 and tickets will be available on the door for £10.
