SIX-year-old Carys Verdicchio was the star of the show for Rotations Trampolining Club in Brentwood at the weekend when she won a silver medal in a girls’ under-13s competition.

Verdicchio, daughter of the Huntingdon-based club’s coach Paul Verdicchio, beat girls more than twice her age to come second in the F-category to qualify for the E-category next time out.

At the same meeting, Maddison Waldren, Bethany Hurrell and Sarah King won a bronze in the under-17s girls G team, while Oliver Pearce took Bronze in under-9s boys H. Kathryn Marson won gold in under-15s girls F category and will perform at E grade next time out.

Also competing and achieving very respectable scores were Pheobe King, Katie Chandler, Madison Riformato, Charlotte Pearce, Millie Manton, Sarah Allen-Farrelly, Michael Keane, Sam Bunn, Jamie Bunn and Rhianne Chamberlain.

“We have been competing for just over two years now and the kids are going from strength to strength,” said the club’s coach.
