Huntingdon BRJ Run & Tri celebrated a double-double at the St Neots Half Marathon last Sunday.
David Hudson raced to a second successive victory in the popular event – which attracted almost 1,200 runners - in a personal best of 1:12.14.
He was one of 50 representatives from the local club in the main race – several of them racing at this distance for the first time.
Hunts AC provided two high finishers as Dave Connell took fourth in 1:15.11 and was followed home by Ty Farrer in fifth (1:16.09). They were the leading runners in the M40 age group.
Freddie Minney was the leading light for host club Riverside Runners, who organise the event in conjunction with NiceTri events. He finished 22nd in a personal best of 1:20.19.
Jo O’Regan was their fastest female as she finished in 75th place overall in 1:26.58. Piers Serjeant and Joe Francombe were also in the top 100.
And there was further success for BRJ in the 3k junior fun run thanks to a fine performance from James Orrell.
The 15 year-old took victory in a time of 10.12 with clubmate Keelan Duffy also climbing onto the podium in third (10.46) despite an unfortunate fall during the closing stages.
The club also provided an age group winner with Jemima Davey the leading Under 11 Girls finisher in 12.15.
