Budding chefs were put through their paces at a competition held in Huntingdon.
A group of eight Hinchingbrooke School pupils battled it out for the title of Young Chef of the Year at a competition held at the school on December 6.
Judges for the event were chefs Steve Brown and Stuart Clements, with the event organised by the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell.
Entrants were tasked with creating a two-course meal using ingredients which cost no more than £10.
After a frantic afternoon, of chopping, frying, sautéing, and plating, Lucy Gabe was crowned winner, with Eloise Wakefield the runner-up.
Lucy was given a cheque for £20 by president of the rotary club, Nick Abell, with Eloise receiving £15.
Ken Challenger, who organised the event on behalf of the club, said: “The young chefs did very well, it always surprises us how capable they are.”
