The event, which was held on June 9, saw 20 people take part in the World Wide Knit In Pubic day (WWKIP) day event held at Huntingdon Library.

The event was just one of 560 knitting events in 53 countries being held that day under the WWKIP umbrella.

The aim of the WWKIP is to create a community that makes the world feel like a more connected place but connecting over something as simple as knitting.

This event also took place to try and recruit keen knitters in the area to get involved in The Bridge Arts Festival.

The Festival, which will take place on April 6 2019, is recruiting knitters and crocheters to help Yarnbomb sites in Huntingdon and Godmanchester, over the weekend.

Knitted items will be used to cover street furniture and to signpost exhibit and performance venues hoping to make a unique backdrop to the festival
