A woman has been escorted by police after riding a mobility scooter on A1 carriageway

A woman riding a mobility scooter was escorted by police after being seen travelling on the A1 yesterday (Wednesday).

Motorists saw the woman driving the red scooter enter the dual carriageway from the B645 Eaton Socon entrance heading southbound towards Wyboston.

Police received a call at around 3.20pm before attending the incident.

A police spokesman said: “The lady was met by police officers and escorted off the carriageway and words of advice were given.”
