Police are appealing for information about a stolen lamppost.

A lamppost has been stolen from a Kimbolton street.

The wrought iron street lamp had been removed from the ground by contractors re-tarmacking the High Street in the village from midnight on June 19. However, it was discovered to be missing two days later.

Pc Louise Butler said: “This is an unusual item to steal and I would urge anyone who saw it being transported away, or know of its whereabouts, to call police.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
