Group member Mac Cox also lost six stone, Rosie Ladds has lost more than four stone and consultant Rachel Watson has lost more than three stone since the festive season.

In the last five weeks, Rachel’s groups in Buckden and Sawtry have lost a staggering 1,433lbs, more than 102 stone, between all members.

Rosie Rabjohns, a member at Sawtry, said: “Rachel is an amazing consultant; she’s honestly the best in the business. She supports and helps us and without her we wouldn’t be able to do it”.

The slimming group, which is part of a national chain, focuses on ‘food optimising’, a lifestyle choice that allows you to eat anything in moderation.

Slimming World consultant for both groups, Rachel Watson said: “I’m so proud of all my members. They are losing weight and adopting new healthy habits for life, improving their health, fitness and happiness and changing their lives forever.

“Food Optimising is not a diet. I encourage and support my members to make lifestyle changes, making small changes to the way they shop, cook and eat.”

The Buckden group is a double gold award-winning group and Rachel’s Sawtry group has just achieved the prestigious silver group award, based on retention of members.

Rachel said: “I’m thrilled to bits for my members. It shows just how fantastic they really are at losing weight and supporting each other. I’m very much looking forward to 2018 and helping more members achieve their dream weight.”

Rachel’s Slimming World groups meet every Wednesday at Sawtry Junior School, Middlefield Road, at 5.30pm and 7.30pm and every Thursday at Buckden Primary School, in School Lane, at 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
