A digger fell off a trailer onto the A14 yesterday.


A digger pulled along by a tractor fell onto the A14 yesterday evening causing long delays.

One lane of the westbound carriageway between Hemingford Abbots and Godmanchester was closed after the digger fell onto the road at about 4.30pm.

It remained shut for a few hours with congestion stretching back to the M11 at Girton.
