The road between Yelling and the B1040 has been closed after a car caught fire.

A crew from St Neots was called to the High Street in the village at 7.45am this morning (Tuesday). They used two hose reels to extinguish the flames by 8.35am.

The vehicle is expected to be recovered and the road reopened imminently.

The fire was accidental, caused by a mechanical fault.
