Christmas was made that little bit brighter for youngsters on the Holly Ward at Hinchingbrooke Hospital thanks to the generous donations of Hunts Post readers.

Presents flooded in after our Love from Lapland appeal launched at the beginning of the month and dozens of boxes were delivered to the hospital just in time for Christmas.

The Huntingdon branch of Tesco also joined the appeal, with shoppers giving generously to help make Christmas for patients on the Holly Ward, as well as other hospital wards, feel a bit more festive.

Daniel Mansfield, acting editor at The Hunts Post, said: “The response to our appeal this year was overwhelming. We cannot thank those who took the time to buy a present enough for their generosity, it really does make a difference to those who are going through a tough time.”
