Police were sent to Earith this morning (April 28) after a woman was hit by a car.

Officers were called to the scene, in High Street, at 7.20am and found a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a white Mercedes C250.

A rapid response unit and an ambulance crew also attended, and the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital as a precautionary measure.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the collision is thought to have been at low speed.
