Two people have been taken to hospital this morning after a crash at St Neots leading to long tailbacks in the area.

The crash, between a lorry and a car, happened shortly after 7.05am between the Tesco roundabout and Wintringham Hall on the A428.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said there were two people injured. She added: “Two people have been taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with minor injuries.

“A woman in her mid 50s suffered abdominal pain and a man in his 60s sustained possible head injuries. Neither are thought to be critically injured.”

The road is partially blocked for recovery, which is causing traffic to queue.
