Man in 20s found dead in A1M crash near Sawtry by member of public

A man in his 20s has died after crash on the A1M near Sawtry.

A member of the public spotted a red Audi A4 in a ditch by the side of the northbound carriageway about a mile north of Sawtry at just after noon yesterday (Sunday).

It is thought the single-vehicle crash happened overnight on Saturday to Sunday (June 21-22).

The man, from the Peterborough area, died at the scene.

Pc Jay Porter said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this crash or the Audi travelling north on the A1.”
