A charity shop at the Huntingdon headquarters of Magpas has reached a fundraising landmark.

The volunteers, who were told by Circle to leave Hinchingbrooke Hospital last July after 25 years, have passed £2,000 of sales since moving to Centenary House, in St Mary’s Street, in November.

Magpas spokesman Antonia Brickell said: “They are really on their way to making their first million as they managed for Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

“The level and quality of products they sell is getting better and better. People come in and say ‘Oh, I didn’t know you were here’ and the volunteers are getting their regulars, who they used to get at Hinchingbrooke. It’s a real community asset.”
