ST NEOTS Town Council has sacked its town clerk, Helen King.

ST NEOTS Town Council has sacked its town clerk, Helen King.

The dismissal took effect on December 21, 2011 but Mrs King appealed against the decision.

Following two hearings by the council’s appeals committee, the decision was upheld.

A town council spokesman said: “It is not appropriate for the Council to respond to enquiries about the reasons for Mrs King’s dismissal as to do so would risk prejudicing the Council’s position in any legal action which might be brought in relation to the dismissal.”
