WOULD-be robbers threatened a Huntingdon man with a knife as he walked through the town.

The 20-year-old victim was walking home along Avenue Road at about 1am yesterday (Wednesday) when he was approached by two men.

They threatened with a knife and asked to empty his pockets. The victim ran off towards Aston Gardens. The men followed at first but then disappeared.

The first assailant was white, six foot tall, medium build and wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms. The second is also white, 5’10”, medium build and wearing a black hooded top and black trousers.

DC James Howard, investigating, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this robbery, particularly any witnesses who may have seen the attackers before or after the incident.”

He said one of the men may have injuries after being struck by the victim as he tried to get away.
