The motorcyclist who was killed in an accident on the A14 between Fenstanton and Swavesey has been named.

Terence Pettitt, 57, of Priory Close, Ingham, Bury St Edmunds, was riding a Suzuki GSX 1300R motorbike when it hit the central reservation.

Police were called to the scene on the eastbound carriageway at 5.42pm on Sunday. They closed the carriageway from Godmanchester (junction 24) to Bar Hill (junction 29), which remained shut until 10pm.

Pc Ian Gray, from the roads policing unit, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or the motorbike in the moments leading up to the collision.”

Anyone with information should contact the roads policing unit on 101.
