The man, in his 60s, suffered head and leg injuries in the incident at 11am today. As a result of his injuries, the man was trapped in a narrow doorway.

When Magpas Helimedix Dr Jon Birks, Dr Tristan Dyer and paramedic Phil Almond arrived, the man had regained consciousness and they gave him pain relief and sedated him.

The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he arrived in a stable condition.

Dr Dyer said: “We wish the patient a swift recovery. Everyone worked extremely well together, especially considering the nature of this incident which required a variety of expertise.”
