A MAN was assaulted and has his wallet stolen as he walked home in Huntingdon.

The 42-year-old victim was walking along Sapley Park Walk, which joins California Road and Sallowbush Road, at 11.55pm on Saturday (September 4) when he was approached from behind by the attacker.

He attempted to stop the man taking his wallet but was kicked several times by the man who then fled.

The victim suffered minor injuries.
