More than 105 car crashes in Cambridgeshire were reported to the police since midday on Saturday and 9am today, with 7 in the area. A pedestrian was killed near March last night (Sunday) after being hit by a car on the A141.

All schools in the district were open and the guided busway stayed open over the weekend with the county council’s dedicated ‘Multihog’ snow plough and gritter running several times to keep the commuter route open.

Despite the travel mayhem, families took the opportunity to stay at home and enjoy the snow, with snowmen, snow angels and snow dogs popping up on the streets and gardens in Huntingdonshire.
