More snow is expected this afternoon and the Met Office has upgraded Huntingdonshire to an amber warning - the most severe warning - and is likely to last until tonight with a yellow warning - the second most severe - carrying on until Wednesday night.

Motorists are being advised to clear their vehicles of snow from lights, windows and the roof, as well as to take more caution on the roads.

Vehicles on the A14 are moving slowly with traffic moving at under 20 miles per hour between Huntingdon and Godmanchester.

Cambridgeshire County Council said all of Huntingdonshire’s schools are open.

First Capital Connect services from Huntingdon and St Neots are also unaffected.
