Firefighters rescue drivers after crashes in Ramsey and St Ives

Firefighters freed two people after crashes in Huntingdonshire yesterday.

One crew from Ramsey and one from Stanground were called to St Mary’s Road at 11.42am, where a vehicle was on its roof in a ditch.

Using specialist cutting equipment they freed the woman, who was cared for by the ambulance service and Mapgas.

She suffered a minor head injury and did not need hospital treatment.

At 1.15pm, a crew from Huntingdon and St Ives rushed to the scene of a crash in St Audrey Lane, St Ives.

A woman in her 20s was cut free from her vehicle, before the ambulance service took her to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for treatment of an ankle injury.
