Stephen Upex examines finds brought to the Porch Museum in Godmanchester

Hundreds of people took their archaeological finds to Godmanchester’s Porch Museum for a Treasure Clinic hosted by Time Team expert Stephen Upex.
The event was filmed for the BBC’s evening programme The One Show.
Curator Kate Hadley said: “We had an overwhelming response. We had probably two to three hundred people.”
Everyone from children who had been digging in the garden to experienced metal detectorists took items in.
Kate said: “Stephen Upex is a really good communicator and gave everybody lots of attention.
“Among the finds were a Celtic gold coin and an Anglo-Saxon cross, as well as lots of mediaeval items.”
