ARMED police arrested a man at gunpoint in Cambourne on Saturday afternoon (July 7).

Police officers, including armed and dog units, were called to Glebe Road at 11.48am to reports of a suspicious man in the area.

Ben Boak, of Bucksherd Close, Great Cambourne, was arrested and later charged with two counts of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour, possessing an illegal weapon, driving a vehicle dangerously and threats to kill.

The 26-year-old appeared in Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
