Firefighters battled a blaze at a flat in St Neots yesterday (Monday).

One crew from St Neots, one from Huntingdon and one from Bedford were called to Phoenix Square at 1.43pm. They extinguished the flames in the first floor flat using a hose reel and a jet, before using fans to clear smoke from the building.

Crews returned to their stations by 3pm.

A fire investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
