Driver dies after crashing into ditch near Great Staughton

A man has died after the car he was driving came off the road and went into a ditch near St Neots this morning (Thursday).

The victim, who is in his 20s, was in a Seat Ibiza on the Great Staughton Road between Great Staughton and Pertenhall when the accident happened at 6.50am.

Emergency Services arrived quickly afterwards but the driver was pronounced dead at the roadside. No other vehicle is thought to have been involved and the driver’s family have been informed.

Bedfordshire police roads policing officer PC Andy Ralph is investigating and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have seen what happened.
