A CCTV image has been released by police of a man they want to speak to in connection with an unprovoked attack in St Neots.

A 31-year-old man was punched to the ground in the High Street after being approached by a man at about 2am on Sunday (June 8).

The attacker then ran off, leaving the victim requiring hospital treatment for head injuries.

Det Con Kevin Hills said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked attack.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to call police.”
