The sex shop just off the A1(M) has been granted another year-long licence to trade.

Owners of the store on Toll Bar Way, Pulse and Cocktails, have to apply to Huntingdonshire District Council each year to renew the licence to sell adult material from at the site.

HDC’s licensing and protection applications sub-group agreed to grant the licence at its meeting on Monday (April 14).

A report before the committee also revealed that turnover at the store is £200,000 per annum, of which £120,000 is from the sale of sex articles and £80,000 from lingerie and novelties.

The report papers also show that the committee did not receive any objections to the renewal.

The shop opened for business at the end of August 2011 despite large opposition from residents and councillors in Sawtry.
