The much-loved River Terrace café and restaurant in St Ives has been forced to shut its kitchen for the "foreseeable future".

A spokesperson for The River Terrace said: "It's with deep sadness that we will be closing our kitchen for the foreseeable future due to emergency circumstances regarding building maintenance.

"For now, we will still be operating for drinks and cakes, and will be open our regular hours."

They said that it was "devastating" for The River Terrace team, but have assured everyone that they are all okay.

"We are working to resolve some issues with our kitchen, but with Grade II listed buildings, this can take time and planning."
