A fundraising event that raises awareness of men's mental health will return for its second edition in Huntingdonshire next month.

After a "fantastic" launch night in February, The Caveman Social is back for another instalment of live music, craft beers, wine and banter that helps fundraise and promote awareness of the St Neots Man Cave project.

Event organiser, Andy White, said: "Last month's launch gig event went really well.

"People loved it and we raised not only some money for the St Neots Man Cave Project but also helped raise its profile and awareness of the fine work they do in the community."

The next event will take place on Friday April 5, from 7-10.30pm, at St Neots Scout Hut in Bedford Street.

Performing live will be The Sam Barratt Blues Trio and Beguiled (unplugged).

Sam is a blues guitarist who was in the now-disbanded but critically-acclaimed band CC Smugglers who were guerrilla buskers playing a hybrid of bluegrass, ragtime Americana folk.

They were invited to support Grammy award winning band Old Crow Medicine Show on their UK tour.

They were also personally invited to tour support Seasick Steve.

Sam now performs his love of blues with the trio.

Meanwhile, progressive rock band Beguiled will perform a rare stripped-back acoustic show of classic rock songs and a mix of their own original songs from their three LPs and various EPs.

There will also be the regular Spotify DJ playlist where attendees can add songs that they would like to hear on the night.

"Drag yourself away from the sofa and TV and pop along for a fun night out, catch up with mates and chew the fat in good company," said event organiser Andy White.

Tickets are costed on a pay-what-you-can-afford basis of: £3, £5 or £7.
