The Mayor of St Ives was among the guests at the celebrations of a care home’s 10th birthday.
Cllr Phillip Pope joined residents, relatives and staff members at Care UK’s Field Lodge to mark the special occasion.
The party at the London Road home also featured a musical performance from singing trio The Swingettes, who played toe-tapping hits from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
A delicious spread of nibbles and cake was also prepared by the home’s chefs for everyone to enjoy.
The cake was cut by 99-year-old resident Doris Chesher.
Doris first visited Field Lodge when her late husband, Bernard, was the first resident to move into the home.
She moved in herself five years later.
Doris said: “I really enjoyed the party – I felt privileged to be asked to cut the cake and I especially loved the singing trio!”

Longstanding staff members Keri Barker and Kristy Matthews have worked at Field Lodge since it opened and were at the event.
Both welcomed the home’s first residents, have toasted plenty of 100th birthdays and support the residents to live fulfilling lives.
