David Shaw, a dad of two from Stukeley Meadows will be running the 2024 London Marathon for the MACs charity.

David, who lives with his wife Hayley and their two sons, Joseph and Samuel, previously ran the London Marathon in 2011 at the age of 31.

Now, 13 years later and at 44-years-old, David is hoping to beat his previous London Marathon time of 5 hours and 26 minutes.

He is running the London Marathon for the MACS charity - Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma Support - which supports children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes.

The national charity is small, but David is hoping to raise plenty of money for it.

Around 114 children are born with no eyes, small eyes, or underdeveloped eyes in the UK per year.

The MACs charity organises events and activities for children with these conditions, as well as funding research into the conditions.

David has managed to raise over £1,000 so far, already beating his target.
