The Vintage Tractor Working Weekend in Huntingdonshire has wowed crowds and raised £650 towards the restoration of the village church.

Spectators had a "wonderful time" marvelling at the 22 tractors and ploughs on display, which also 'worked the land' at Wood Farm in Hail Weston, near St Neots.

Jim Mawer and his partner Carole have been organising the Vintage Working Weekend for several years, and each year, they donate any profit to charity.

This year's chosen charity was the St Nicolas Church Restoration Group, with a £650 cheque presented to Anne-Marie Hamilton to go toward the restoration work currently ongoing at the Hail Weston church.

Anne-Marie, who is the chairman of St Nicolas Church Restoration Group, said: "What was particularly pleasing was how many local people came out to spectate this year.

"It turned into quite a party!

The Vintage Tractor Working Weekend took place on October 14 and October 15, and although the Saturday event was cancelled due to rain, the ground dried up for the Sunday, allowing the vintage vehicles to work the land to the delight of everyone.

Celia Upchurch then won this year's competition as the person who ploughed the straightest single furrow, with a cup given in memory of Diane Buddle.
