A tractor driver who died after crashing into a bridge at Alconbury has been named.

Harry Christian-Allan, 19, of Sandy Road, Everton, was critically injured after the green Claas tractor, which was full of corn, crashed into the A1 flyover bridge at Rusts Lane about 5.40pm on Friday.

He was trapped in the vehicle and suffered severe injuries. Three fire crews worked quickly to remove Mr Christian-Allan from the tractor.

Magpas Helimedix Dr Jon Birks and paramedic Ryan Warwick anaesthetised him and transported him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, by land ambulance.

He arrived in a critical condition.

Cambridgeshire police said on Saturday the Mr Christian-Allan had died.

INFORMATION: Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the tractor just prior are asked to contact the collision investigation unit on 101.
