CONTRARY to the views of Lorna Watkins (Letters, April 17) I would like to thank all concerned in the recent refurbishment of the Thicket path. Yes, the newly completed path will take time to blend in with its newly disturbed edges but let`s not be impatient: nature will take its course.
AFTER axing the X4 bus service from St Neots to Cambridge, via Cambourne, Stagecoach has now decided that the X5 is oversubscribed and added two evening buses to help get people home from Cambridge.
EARLY on Sunday morning, I enjoyed a pleasant walk with my dogs along the improved Thicket pathway. The sun was shafting through the trees, while the birds sang in praise of a job well done. Unlike Lorna Watkins (Letters, April 17), I was barely aware of the safety posts.
YOUR correspondent Lorna Watkins of Somersham referred to the new Thicket path as “a high-speed cycle path where ramblers are barely tolerated by the bulging-thighed lycra set.”
