| STALEMATE: Town could not get the goal they needed. |
UCL Division One ---
Huntingdon Town 0-0 Rushden and Higham Utd ---
A LIMITED Rushden and Higham side held Huntingdon to a goalless stalemate at Jubilee Park
Town co-managers Al Lenihan and Pat O'Keefe will be disappointed their team did not take more from the game, given that the visitors had been destabilised earlier in the week by the departure of manager Simon Stewart and several players.
The draw - Town's third in a row - keeps Huntingdon in fifth place in UCL Division One, but they lost ground on the teams above them.
Arriving with just the bare bones of a squad, the visitors were conservative, and failed to create a single shooting chance, but Town could not make them pay.
Dwayne Rankin hit the woodwork for Town in both halves, and further chances were passed up by James Edwards, Joe Furness and Stuart Eason in the blustery conditions.
Town travel to Northampton ON Chenecks on Saturday. Kick-off 2pm.
