Nicki and family,

I hope you are all coping well and finding comfort with your loved ones.

Paul was a thoroughly good bloke and a damn good rugby player on and off the field.

He always put his heart into his performance on the pitch and I'm sure that was the way with life in general.

He became a fireman quite late on in life and I know he loved his job like he loved life.

I was lucky enough to have packed down with him on the field, I'm glad he was on my side.

I remember when he first came down training at Bragbury End - I was fed the ball on the rampage - the try line beckoning - until Mallaghan "the new bloke" put me unceremoniously on my ***!

Many games and good times were to follow - it all seems like yesterday - I, like pretty much everyone else he met, will miss him.

Paul - Rest in Peace!

Muddy
